mesa is from ":plateaus, centers, stoma...", a limited edition ep of "folding studies" using guitar + Max/MSP. I created this in my dorm room during my first couple months at Mills College and then self-released a CD in early 2001. It lead to my first distributed release- "Folding, and the Tea" (12k, 2002) and then "Pollen". This is the first digital release of this material. These sounds initiated my musical path that continues to unfold and evolve. Respecting the old, paving the way for the new. So grateful.
